move outlook calendar from 1 pc to another pc with outlook

How would I backup My outlook calendar from win95 then transfer to my other
ps outlook that has winxp
 
Copy your .pst file and then open it (not import it) on the new pc.

I ahve tried to open the copied pst file which by defult was named back up.
When I click on open the pc can't find a program on pc to open it.
What I am trying to do is copy my outlook calendar and contacts from an old
computer which uses win 95 to a new office calendar which uses win xp. If
you could please explain to me step by step how to accomplish this I would
be very grateful I spent 5 hr trying to complete this last night I just
confused myself even more. Please help. Mike
 
PST files can only be opened from within Outlook, not from Windows Explorer
Use File > Open... > Outlook Data File

I know you are trying very hard to help. I am having a very hard time with
this Would you mind Explaining to me step by step ahow to do this
transfer/copy my appointment calendar from 1 pc to another . It seems i
cautch on very slowly

First, do what Milly said: copy your Outlook Data File (PST) file and place
it on the hard drive of your other PC.
The open it in Outlook using Outlook's File Menu > Open > Outlook Data File.
You will see this second PST file in your Navigation Pane or Folder List.
Finally, copy the contents of the Calendar Folder from the your old PST file
to the new one. Switch to an unfiltered table view of the first Calendar
folder (such as By Category). Then use CTRL+A to select all items.
Right-click and drag the group of items to the second Calendar folder. When
you release the mouse button, choose Copy from the menu.

Thank you some how not sure how my calendar is transfered to my new pc. Now
How would i transfer all my antacts and notes? That info was not transfered
when I copied my calendar
