move outlook addr book w/o pst

for outlook 2000
is it possible move outlook's and oe address files to another outlook/oe
installation
with out having made a pst file or similar for exporting
something like copying the right file(s) and changing registry settings, etc
 
thanks for the reply
when i create an 'export file' one of the choices is a .pst, and you can
specify which outlook folders get put in there
but before a .pst is created, there must be contents of the outlook folders,
one being contacts/ address book,
in some other database/set of files/etc
right??

No. All data is stored in the PST file. Contact data is stored in a Contacts
Folder in the PST file.
Exporting is never a good way to transfer Outlook data.
