I currently have my programs and files residing on C. I will be installing a
second internal drive and would like to move "My Documents" for all users to
the new drive and then reformat the original drive and reinstall the software.

Is moving My Documents a simple drag and drop to the new location?

Right-click on the "My Documents" icon, choose "Properties" and under
Target, click "Move". It's a good idea to have created a new "Documents"
folder on the new drive first AFAIK......that's all there is to it.

Barb, I have a folder on another hard drive named: My Docs. When I
installed Windows, I used the properties of My Documents to redirect it to
that folder (changing the Target path or using the Move button - either way
will work). If I ever formatted the Windows drive I wouldn't have to worry
about losing the contents of My Docs since it's on another drive. After the
reinstall, I would once again re-direct XP to that folder using My
Documents properties.
