move maker does not capture time date stamp from Sony DV-camcorder

I am trying to capture video from a Sony 8mm digital camcorder. The video
captures fine but it does not capture the time date stamp.....any ideas??

When video moved to digital, time/date etc became part of meta data,
recorded to a different part of the tape.
You can use a few apps to get it to show, listed here
