Mov files to Avi

Dear All,

my digital camera (Nikon coolpix 4.6) makes short movie having "*.Mov"
extension and in order to view them, one needs the Apple Quick Time
application installed.

As far as you know, is there any freeware application in order to convert
the Mov file into something else video files.

I suggest download Super from http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html .
Super is a freeware video transcoder which can convert from one format
to the other. This software supports many formats. You can convert MOV
formats into AVI, Mpeg 1,2,4 , FLV, ASF, et al.

Beforewarned, this prog is almost a 30 MB download but it is worth it.
Look at the features on the above page & this program is undated a lot
so there are new bug fixes, new features added, et al.
