MouseDown event does not always fire

My form contains a box control and some label controls on top of the box.
The labels' mouse move events contain code to emphasize the labels caption
(increase font weight and underline) and the box's mousemove event resets
the label to normal.

And it works ... some of the time.

But if I move the mouse quickly across the box from one label to the next
the mouse move event does not always fire.

How to fix this?

Space the controls farther apart, or move the mouse more slowly. Those are
the only ways I know. The MouseMove event seems to be somewhat granular,
and if the mouse moves very quickly over a small space, it doesn't fire.

You may also want to use the MouseMove event of the form's Detail section to
reset the label properties. That would give you a second-level defense.

I *suppose* it would be possible to use the form's Timer event to check the
position of the mouse cursor and see if it is over one of the labels or not.
That would more complicated, and add overhead you might not want.
