I suddently cannot use the mouse wheel anymore
In tweak UI the option is greyed.
The driver seams all right (I tried to load th last version but ti says I
have already got the last one).
Thanks a lot for your help
Rudy

If this is a recent issue try using System Restore to take you back to a
time prior to when this issue began. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System
Tools\System Restore.

If that fails, try deleting the driver in device manager and then reboot the
system to have the system search for, find the mouse and reinstall the
drivers. Open Control Panel, open System, go to the Hardware tab, click
device manager, click the plus sign next to mouse, select your mouse, right
click and delete it, then reboot.

Thank you for the reply.
I had alreaty tried the first method.
The second one does not succeed either : driver was reinstalled by Windows
but the wheel still does not work.
I have received a lot of mails from Microsoft update which my anti-virus has
deleted; is it a possible cause ?
Is it possible that something in the registry has been modified ?

The e-mails are not from Microsoft but from someone who has created a bogus
e-mail and has inserted a Microsoft address in the header. In any event,
this would only be a problem if you opened the attachment in the e-mail as
that would give you a virus.

If you did open the attachment and please note, Microsoft never sends out
updates or attachments by e-mail though they do send out notices, you should
make sure your antivirus software is up to date, run a virus scan and rid
yourself of this virus if you are infected.
