Mouse wont let my computer go on standby

As I was trying to make my computer go on standby a dialog box came up
saying that the device driver for the ps2 mouse wont let the system go on
standby. What is happening here as I cant get my machine to go on standby!

Jake, what sort of mouse driver are you using?
Try updating the driver if a newer version is available.
