Mouse Wheel Zoom inverted in Internet Explorer as compared to Office Apps

In all my office apps, if I turn the mouse wheel towards me while
holding down Ctrl key, the window contents become *smaller*, and vice
versa.

BUT, in Internet Explorer, it's the opposite: turning the wheel towards
me makes everyting on the page *larger*.

Drives me nuts, because I never seem to get it right the first time if I
just quickly want to zoom in or out, because of this confusing and
inconsistent behavior.

Any remedy in sight?

Anyway, thanks for reading,

You're right! The funny thing is that in all the years I've been
doing this, I've never noticed this before. That's probably the
reason I can never remember which way to scroll the wheel. ;-)

Open IE, click on help, click on send feedback... That's one worth telling
them about. I too hadn't ever noticed that but I seldom use that feature.
Probably for the same reason Ken gave, I just don't remember which way to
scroll.
