With the mouse pointer, it is difficult to make precise
movements which makes it hard to aim.

Does the distance the pointer - or crosshair seem to move differently even
moving the mouse the same distance, but changing the speed?

With the Far Cry demo I've noticed mouse weirdness, which feels like
acceleration - although I didn't like the game enough to bother to try a
work around. Some quick googling turned up this:
