Mouse stops working

While working in XP the mouse will start getting jerky and then just freeze and stop working until a reboot then work just fine, it happens frequently, any body got any ideas how to correct this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you need a updated driver for the mouse. Check the website of
the mouse maker for the proper XP driver.
