Mouse is a Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0. Reciever is
connected via USB. Latest Microsoft drivers are installed. OS is Windows XP.
Pointer speed settings is at about 4/5. Enhance Pointer Precision is NOT
checked. Desktop resolution is 1920x1200. Hardware properties does not give
me any options for report rate.

When I move the mouse as slow as I can, it seems to jump two or three pixels
at a time. If I checkmark Enhance Pointer Precision, the mouse movement is
much smoother, but even with the speed set all the way up the mouse movement
is SLOW.

Anyone know how I can keep the increased resolution with the mouse and high
speed?

Try a Google of "mouse speed tweak" without the quotes.

There was a registry hack as well but I don't remember it.

Thanks guys... no joy. I'll have to just live with the slower mouse. Can't
use it if it's jumping mulitple pixels.
