MY COMPUTER WAS RECENTLY UPDATED FROM WINDOWS NT TO
WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL. I HAVE NOTICED A SLOW DOWN IN
THE REACTION TIME BETWEEN RIGHT CLICKING (ENTER) THE MOUSE
AND THE ACTUAL INITIALIZATION OF THE COMMAND. IF I
USE "ENTER" OR THE SPACEBAR ON THE KEYBOARD, THERE ISN'T
ANY HESITATION. I AM A DRAFTSMAN USING AUTOCAD AND THE
SLOW DOWN IS A REAL PROBLEM. MY MIS DEPARTMENT DOESN'T
HAVE AN ANSWER FOR ME. I AM USING A LOGITECH 3 BUTTON
MOUSEMAN SERIAL-PORT MOUSE.

Apparently you also have a problem with your keyboard in that its
CapsLock or Shift keys are stuck. All caps is yelling. Stop yelling at
us!!! The fastest way to deter volunteers here from helping you is to
insult or assault them. Besides, it looks like a 4-year old writing the
post.

Try going into the mouse's properties and changing the sampling or poll
rate. If it is a cordless mouse, make sure you press the reset button
on the receiver and then on the mouse to resync them. Make sure you use
the latest updated software from the mouse manufacturer rather than some
generic Windows-supplied driver.
