the traditional small traps that go, snap! are now considered "cruel", so
there are other, more painless techniques for mouse problems.

seriously, the troubleshooters are useless. never had one work for anything

If you could find some mouse drivers for your mouse, maybe installing them
would cause windows XP to bring in the corrupted files you need. That would
be my first guess. After that, I'd wait for someone smarter than me to
reply to your post! <g>

I recently up upgraded from XP Home to Professional and when I tried to use
my USB mouse it gave me an error of C:Windows/Win32/"Normal" ...and all
other mouse functions are missing or corrupted. I tried the troubleshooters
but none helped. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Please fix your clock & time zone. You are posting more than 24 hours
in the future.

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers or any other software for the mouse,
have you checked the mouse manufacturer's website for updated drivers and
software?
