I'm using a Dell Inspiron 4150 laptop, and the mouse
freezes quite frequently for a second or two at a time...
I still have keyboard and the computer itself isn't
frozen - it just won't accept touchpad or nub input.
Please advise.

Thanks,
Bill

Visit the Dell support website and download/install the latest video
adapter and touchpad XP drivers for your specific Dell notebook computer.
Make sure to uninstall the old drivers first in the Add/Remove Programs
applet located in the Control Panel.

Bill,
I just took a Compaq Presario 2100 out of the box.
It does the same thing.
I believe XP has too much on its mind.
This means that a human is faster than the OS
Go figure..
