THE NUMBER 1 MOST IRRITATING THING ABOUT WINDOWS FOR ME.
I have fought for this for literally years.. yet I've never pursued finding
an answer in this forum...
Please excuse me if this, and I'm sure it has, been talked about before.
Typical scenario..
I'm doing a "mouse over" of a picture (a gif). I right click and select
"Save As"
I navigate to a directory where I want to save the file and enter the
directory.
I now see a bunch of files listed.. now if I simply do a "mouse over" of
one of the existing
files in that directory the save window changes the about to be save
file name to the
existing name of the file my mouse pointer rested on... I DONT WANT
IT TO DO THAT.....! I
DON"T WANT IT TO DO ANYTHING!! If I were to click on the file name
and the save
as now wanted to assume that as the saving file name... FINE!! but
damned... that ticks me
off. Is there anyway to deactivate a "mouse over" from being some
kind of selection?
I know you can turn off a description balloon of a file if the mouse
pointer is hovering over
it but the problem I've described isn't the problem I seek advice
for.
Anyway... frustrated in Federal Way, WA
..
Thank You
