Mouse Not Working

I have installed Office 2000 and the mouse is not
working. When I click on a cell it highlights and then
when I move the mouse to another cell or try to get to the
memu, the highlight 'flotes' and I am unable to even close
the application. I have tried to re-install, run fix but
nothing works. If I use the keyboard to move around the
spreadsheet it seems to work fine. How do I get the
excell application to recognize the mouse. The mouse
works on other applications fine.

Hi Sue!

If you see EXT in the status bar, press F8.

do you ever sleep, you're always seem to be on at the same time
as the rest of us, what's the good of being in Australia other that to answer
Asian questions, or overnight questions from the rest of the world <grin>.

Hi Dave!

Re: "do you ever sleep"

I seem to only need about 4 hours sleep plus a nap in the afternoons.
It's good working at night time especially during the hot Summer
months. I get a lot of work done and like to have frequent dips into
the newsgroups for a rest from sorting out materials for next
Semester. Also finishing off a boring chore of adding translations of
all the functions to my Function Lists. Nearly done!

A lot of us seem to work weird hours.

Norman,
It's good working at night time especially during the hot Summer
months.
When I woke up this morning, it was 5F (-15C).

On another note....didn't you post your Function List on someones
web site? I was looking for it the other day.

David (from another post),
Good Reference, but I think the question was for VBA not for Excel.
Yes, I forgot what group I responding in and the OP did
specifically mention VBA. Even so, as Noneley's was a good
reference, I'd like to have included Norman's too.

Hi John!

Debra Dalgleish has an old version I think.

I've sent you one as I understand that you have a good home.

A couple of days and I'll have a translation sheet added that give
about 12 different foreign language equivalents. All I'll nee is
people from those counties to translate my descriptions.

When I woke up this morning at 6:50 AM it was 22C and there was
another boring azure blue cloudless sky and those bloody fairy wrens
were at my tomatoes and singing to their mates that they were very
nice. At least they don't like my chillies!

Norman,

I knew you placed it on someones site.
I just didn't remember where.

You sent me an earlier version some time ago. If this is a
later version, might I ask that you send it again? Having trouble
with my new SpamKiller. It's there. You did send it. I can't rescue it.
(I've since added you to my "friends" list so the next one won't
get blocked).

It'll be another 5 or 6 months before I can say the same.
Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
John

Hi John!

Re: It'll be another 5 or 6 months before I can say the same.
Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always prepared to host newsgroup "frequent flyers" if they want a
break from Arctic Wastes such as Neasden (Old Goon Show line) and
visit Sydney. Can't say that it's pleasant here in Western Sydney
today at around 35C (1:00 PM). But there's always a pool and ice cold
beer to cool things down.

Hi Frank!

Will do in a few days. I've nearly completed inserting and cross
checking the function names and have already done the German ones.
What I'll need is translation of the English descriptions I've given
plus the translation of the Syntax.

I think I've hit over 10000 uploads of the English language Function
Lists and don't see why the rest of the World shouldn't suffer as
well.

Looking forward to suffer ;-)

Though to be honest Excel's behaviour of translating formula names into
local languages sometimes really gives you a headache :-(
You can send me the english descriptions, etc. at my work mail
(frank.kabel [ät] mummert.de)

Thanks Frank!

Will do. About a day's more work on it.
