Mouse misbehaving

We just upgraded to Windows XP and now my mouse is acting
funny. When I click on the page up/page down area of the
scroll bar, it pages more than just one page. This is
annoying as I miss some data. How do I adjust the page
up/down range on the mouse?

This is an unfortunate side effect (or feature?) of a recent update.
Someone mentioned clicking closer to the slide bar will result in smaller
advances. Or you could use that slide bar - grab it with mouse to move it
up and down. Or give Page Down on the keyboard a try.

An alternative to Sharon's suggestion is to uninstall the update (KB824145)
for now. Click start/run, and copy/paste in this command and click "ok":

c:\windows\ieuninst /q c:\windows\inf\q824145.inf

You can reinstall it at a later time when the issue has been addressed.
