hey all

i`m looking for a new keyboard and mouse (not necercerly in a package),
wondering if anyone could point me to a few good ones.

atm i have MS internet keyboard & MS intellieye explorer v3.0.

what i`d like is this:
keybaord:
volume control buttons + customizable buttons (atleast email, internet & my
computer)
full size board (num. pad, arrow keys etc)
WIRED! - non of this battery operated crap.

mouse:
preferably optical
5+ buttons (use for gaming purposes) including a wheel
high scan rate.
wired again.

i dont really have a preference, but the MS hardware is very nice - if only
they did a normal keyboard with volume controls. the mouse fills my hand
nicely, just the scan rate is to low.

i`m considering the logitech MX500 mouse due to scan rate (alot higher than
MS's), just wondering if theres anything else out there.

ps - i`m in the UK

Although I went for wireless, I have found that the build quality and
reliability of the Logitech stuff is excellent.

I bought the wingman (dual control joystic/pad) last year and it is really
good so when I upgraded the keyboard and mouse I went for Logitech (cordelss
keyboard and mouse in black) again.

As for the extra controls. This keyboard has buttons for everything but I
only tend to use the sound mute and volume buttons and the button that opens
a web search site.

I do seem to think that you get what you pay for in relation to build
quality.

Got the Logitech MX 700 wireless.
Absolutely love it.
Its expensive, but if you shop around I would think you could pick it up for
£35
