I have a logitech usb mouse and when I start up the
computer the mouse doesn't work, but if I unplug it
and plug it back in then it works just fine. Before I
had this problem, I had a usb microsoft intellimouse which
would stop working intermittently, if I unplugged it
and plugged it back in it would work for a few minutes
before locking up. I thought that there was something
wrong with the microsoft mouse so I replaced it with the
logitech. I even tried using the ps2 adapter and the
microsoft mouse still locked up. Every time I reboot or
startup my computer I have to unplug the mouse and plug it
back in. Right now I also have usb joystick, and usb cable
for my camera plugged in. Usually the camera is not
connected to the camera cable and cable is left hanging.

Any help would of use,

Thanks

Marc

Sounds like the USB port youre using for the mouse might be going bad since
the other mouse did similar things. Have you tried a different port on the
motherboard to see if that works properly?
