Hoping you can help with this very frustrating problem. I have a logitech
corded optical mouse usb that has freezes and dies. I noticed that the
optical light on the mouse itself cuts out and I can't get it going until I
unplug and plug it in again. This is usually good for 5 sometimes 10 minutes
if I'm lucky. I've updated the drivers from logitech, done a virus and
spyware scan on my system none of which seem to help. It seems to really get
bad when I play WOW online. Can someone shed some light on this and point me
in the right direction. Thank you

Replace the mouse with a known-working one. If the problems disappear,
discard the original mouse. They don't last forever.

I had problems with the drivers from Logitech so I removed them and just
used the MS ones.
No more problems. Of course I don't get all the buttons working on the mouse
but it runs better with games.
I never used the extra buttons anyway.
