Well, hopefully the third time is a charm.

I checked all the windows settings. all of us are using
all the latest versions of everything.

In powerpoint (and some other office apps) my double
click now does nothing. for example if i am in slide
sorter view and i double click on a slide, nothing
happens. if however i hit enter... then it goes to slide
view.

this is just one example, there are others. here is the
kicker though... my pc does this. the guy who sits
beside me it operates normally. and others through the
company randomly have it happenning. As well, in my PC,
with a different login name, it is fine.

HELP!!! you could be next!

Hi,

Another thing I was looking at. Maybe check your mouse settings in the
Control Panel. Make sure you have the latest drivers, and also whether there
are any differences you can spot when logged in as different users.

Chrism,
As well, in my PC, with a different login name, it is fine.
Have a look in the control panel under either the *mouse* settings, or "accessibility" settings.
It sounds like something has changed just for your user name
