Mouse doesn't work properly

I've recently clean-installed XP-Home. The main glitch is that my mouse doesn't work properly: I now longer have a right-click ! Left-click is fine, but try as I might, right-click just doesn't function. A few days later, my son called to say he had a problem: He had just installed XP-Pro, and now neither his mouse nor keyboard functions. Nayone heard of such problems ? Please help if you can.
 
i have the same problem, i dont know what happened, it just stoped working proply. other users(my kids) can still right click in their start menus but i cant right click on any start menu items. i can right click on a web page or document page and use the menu but i cant add or remove anything from the start menu. its really pissing me off to be honest with you as i'v reinstalled xp office and home and done a system restore, nothing works......??????????????????????????
 
Try re-installing the mouse drivers using the most current available
from the manufacturer of the mouse.
