Mouse does not fuction after Win2000 install

Installed Windows 2000 Pro (clean install, stand alone PC)
left Win98 in separate partition. Install went well but
mouse does not function. Cursor arrow is fixed and does
not respond to mouse.

Mouse is Kessington Trackball. I installed trackball
software driver and still does not work. I tried a
standard MS mouse and no response. In Win98 it all works
fine.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks

Try selecting faqs under support. Look for windows 2000 installation.

Check in device manager to check if Windows 2000 has detected the port
it's plugged into and there are no conflicts.
