mouse cusor auto select

How do you get your mouse cursor to activate the window it is placed in without having to mouse click in that window. , i.e. - autoselect in that window. On my older computer running NT and another running 98 as you hover the cursor from one window to the next it activates the window its in, thus you can scroll without having to click and select that window. How do i gat this ability back in windows XP. I am using a Logitech MX 500 mouse

Perhaps that was a feature provided by your video card maker - nVidia has
that feature in their nView Desktop Manager.
