Hi, Basically i'm using Alias Maya 6.5 and Google Sketchup, and recently if I
try to select an object, it will select anything behind whatever I click. The
curious thing is that this happens in both programs and started happening at
roughly the same time. I assume it is a windows error or malfunction. Has
anyone ever heard of anything like this happening because I have been unable
to find even one similar problem.

I have posted help topics on the Maya forums, they know nothing about this.
It would be great if anyone could give me some info on this. Thanks.

Try lowering graphics hardware acceleration slide. You can lower
graphics hardware acceleration in Display Properties, Settings tab,
Advanced button, Troubleshooting tab. If this helps, you probably need
a different graphics card or drivers.

Thanks for the ideas, but none of this has helped so far. It seems to be the
mouse clicking depth or something. If I have a row of cubes all behind
eachother and I click the front one, it selects the one at the back? I think
I will have to re-install Windows...

Big shame.
