Hi!
Is it possible to dis-able the right hand mouse button?
(And "cut the wire" wouldn't be helpful!)

Yes, but you'll need to install the software from the mouse manufacturer.

Alternatively, you can open the mouse up and disconnect/break the button
that controls the right click.

I'd advise against it because the right-click is a very hand tool once you
get used to it.

Install the software from the mouse manufacturer. That will let you
define what each button does. It is unlikely that there is a "None"
selection, so you will need to define the right button to do the same
function as the left button provided the software permits that;
otherwise, choose a function for the right button that is innocuous or
preferred.
