I have a mouse that is waking the system out of standby. It is recognized by
windows as HID-compliant mouse. I can go into properties and Power
Management in Device Manager and the Allow device to wake the system out of
standby box is un-checked. It functions properly on the XP Pro system I am
using to do builds but it will wake up my XPE image. Am I missing a driver
or component here? I would settle for any means of permanently disabling
mouse and keyboard wake out of standby.

I've seen wake settings in the BIOS. Have you checked there?

No such luck. There was no setting in ACPI or any other BIOS page for mouse
or keyboard. Also I must use S1 standby as some of our drivers will not
handle S3.
