Mouse Ball Sticks

I am having a hard time getting my mouse to move with out sticking or
sliding across the mouse pad. Is there some way to lubricate(How should I
overhaul) the mouse ball supports/rollers inside the mouse so the ball will
not stick but roll smoothly without stopping? Thanks Bill

You need to clean the rollers inside the mouse. Dirt and lint often
accumulates on them. A Q-tip with alcohol often does the trick.

have you already cleaned the support rollers at the
place where they tough the ball?

also when u use a 'plastic' mousepad, dirt can stick
on the bottom of the mouse. I use a fabric pad, so
my mouse bottom is automaticly cleaned

With computer turned off, remove ball to expose rollers. Spray and clean
with WD-40. Let dry overnight, then reassemble.

At first opportunity, shop for an optical mouse (hopefully cordless.) I
recommend the Logitech MX 700.
 
Besides cleaning the gunk off the rollers as mentioned by others, you
might want to clean the ball itself. I've seen balls get so coated that
they actually get shiny with the dirt and have reduced friction so they
skip. Some folks recommend using isopropyl alcohol to clean the ball
but sometimes all it takes is to rub it in long strokes on a pair of
[old] jeans then rotate and repeat. Basically you're erasing the filth
off the ball.

(Okay, no jokes about stroking your balls on your jeans, guys.) :D
