The Motorola MPx200 is a Windows Mobile device (now being sold by AT&T
Mobile).
Does it support the .NET CF framework?

The Motorola MPX200 is a Smartphone 2002 and does not support the .NET CF.
Support for the .NET CF starts with Smartphone 2003.

Are we expecting to see any Smartphone 2003 devices being released in the US
anytime soon? I am assuming that the Samsung i600 that is to be released
through Sprint is also a Smartphone 2002 device?

I heard that the MPx200 will be flash-upgradeable to SP2003.
But I don't have a firm source for that, and I don't have an estimated time
of availability either.

On the AT&T Wireless developer forum, a moderator recently (3 November)
posted this notice:
AT&T Wireless is actively exploring with our partners the opportunity to
offer a Windows Mobile 2003 software upgrade for the Motorola MPx200 phone.
Your patience is appreciated during this exploration period.

Hi Dino,

As your email is dated on november 2003, during this time have you received
informations about MPx200 will be flash-upgradeable to SP2003 ?

I'm intersting to buy the MPx200 but only if it supports the .NET CF.

Thanks in advance.
