Hi

I am going to build a new pc, done it before about 4 years ago.
Going to use XP2600 would like some pointers to which motherbrd to use and
also which video card to use, or will I be able to use onboard graphics?
The PC will be for everday use, internet and DV Camcorder editing, no gaming
at all.

Cheers for help

IMO, nforce2 motherboards are the best way to go for the Athlon XP CPU's.

If you do not need SATA HD support, I would recommend an Epox EP-8RDA+.
Excellent features and performance at a low price. If you do plan on using
SATA, then you may want to take a look at the Asus A7N8X Deluxe, or the Abit
NF7-S instead.

If you are not doing any gaming, then a low cost GF4-MX series or GF-FX5200
should be more than adequate for your needs.

I'm no expert on the latest mobo's so if it was me i would start by looking
at...

http://www2.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/1,,30_118_3734_4348^7923,00.html?1061795457

and then start looking at the recommended mobo's for the features I'd want.

I have a Asus A7N8X Deluxe with an XP2700 and am happy with it, lots
of extras, I use Sata and it feels fast than any other hdrive I've
owned.

I've got two SATA Raptors running in RAID 0 myself.
