I've got an Abit KT7A motherboard in a 1.2ghz Athlon PC, which was 'knocked
out' after
a nearby lightning strike. The motherboard still works, but the USB is
completely dead.

Any ideas which replacement mobo will do the job?

Cheers,
Dan.

Hi,

You're needing a board that will give you an FSB of 200 mhz and most of
the boards around will do that fine; give you sound and a nic as well these
days. I still have a kt7a with an Athlon 900 and am about to give it to a
friend. Nice stable board. Good replacement choices could be from Abit,
Asus, MSI and IMHO even Biostar.
The alternative to all this might be to simply add a USB card into a PCI
slot for $20.
