No - motherboards have a special slot (or port as its also called) to plug
the graphics card into.
The latest type is called PCI-E (the E stands for Express). Before that was
AGP and even the PCI slot can be used for a graphics card but the PCI slot
is very slow and no real good for graphics.
So you need to know what type of slot the graphics card fits - and which
slots are on any prospective motherboard.
Provide more details. Which video card make and model number.
Which motherboard make and model number. Then someone can
give you specific feedback, on types of products that would work.
Generally, the answer is yes, you can put a video card on a
motherboard.
Some pre-built computers, have no high performance video card slot,
and then your option is a crappy PCI interface video card. If you
are building the computer yourself, generally it is easier to get
a motherboard with a good video card slot on it.
