I'm looking for suggestions for motherboards to be used in
a computer with an Athlon 64 processor. The main thing is
not to have to worry about sound card stuttering or other
sound corruption in games, movies, or other apps.

Are there any motherboards that are better at avoiding stuttering?
Any to avoid?
Any sound card/motherboard combinations to avoid?
Any motherboards that have onboard sound good enough
that I wouldn't need to consider a separate sound card?

Gigabyte K8NNXP N-Force 3 looks good

IMHO, the "Soundstorm" integrated sound is the best on-board surround sound
system out there...and it looks as though there are no AMD64 boards that
support it (yet). I was running a Gigabyte K8N Pro (RMA because of a BIOS
problem- xchg for K8NNXP), and a M-Audio Revolution 7.1 soundcard with no
problems- excellent sound quality.

Thanks. I'll have a look at that one.
