motherboard diagram - ot?

Hoping some guru out there can help. I need a motherboard diagram for a
Gigabyte GA-BX2000 board (NOT PLUS). Cannot find a diagram on Gigabyte site
even though I have downloaded motherboard manual. I need to connect case
leads to motherboard and have absolutely no idea how to connect what leads
to where. Markings on motherboard not very helpful. Thanks
 
Is there another Gigabyte motherboard that is similar, use that manual as a
guide.
Also markings on your motherboard are usually abbreviated, (PWR_LED,
F_PANEL, Etc.).

I have a Gigabyte m/b and the header pins are all marked in the manual.
Only thing is the manual may use a different marking convention than the
leads to the front panel.
There is a m/b layout diagram at the front of the manual then connectors
section for header pinouts further in.
There are two rows of 4 pins, 1 for each USB, match those up with the 8
wires coming from the front panel.
 
Thanks JS for your prompt reply. The pin markings (as you look down on
them, there are two rows in a horizontal layout) named as follows: top row
G- PW P+ P- P- H+ GN
bottom row G+ RE SPKR H- GN

The PW and RE are bracketted on the pin arrangement as is the SPKR.

My case leads are PWR LED, S/B SW, RESET SW, HDD LED, [and SPEAKER - that
one I do know where to put :-)].

All leads have a black wire which I guess is the earth wire (is that - or +
for earth wire on the m/b?). Look forward to your further help with

My best guess:
The + symbol is most likely the Positive voltage lead (+ and -) for most Led
connections.
The - symbol is the ground connection.

G-PW is the Power On connection.
G+ RE is probable the Reset function.
H+ for the Hard Drive LED on the front of the case.
GN might be the negative or ground connection for the Hard drive LED,
especially if it's close to the H+ pin.
SPKR is most likely for a small built in speaker on the case.

The remaining I'm not certain and don't want to guess!
Chances are the case should have the leads marked as Power LED, HD for Hard
Drive, RST for Reset.

It sounds like you have a BTX motherboard and maybe there is a BTX marking
convention standard to be used by all manufactures.

After replying to JS I noticed the other posts from antioch and Kenny.

Thanks antioch for that website, the motherboard instructions contain a lot
more diagrams than what I downloaded from Gigabyte!

Hopefully I can work my way thru the case connectors from this download (BUT
still looking for support from JS in this matter).

Kenny, this motherboard does not appear to support front panel USB, only has
onboard USB ports. There are NO two rows of 4 pins. :-( I dont have a
hard copy of the motherboard manual.
 
Thanks JS, antioch and Kenny for your input, will try and work my way thru
the "problem" to a successful conclusion. :-)
 
Back to the days of the PIII is it not?
There is nothing else out there that I could see that would help more.

Ok guys, one last question (I think I am coming to grips with case leads
now) is the + ground/earth or is the - ground/earth? If the motherboard pins
show neither - or + then I guess it doesn`t matter much which way plug is
put on pins?
 
+ means positive, - is ground.
Any LED like the case Power On LED need to be inserted correct for the LED
to light when the PC is turned on. No damage will occur if it's inserted
backwards/reversed. The power on switch connection should not matter.

And I know the red and yellow leads are 5v and 12v respectively.
Therefore black is to -(negative).
I am learning :-)

If you're into having fun, a quick, dirty and very mildly dangerous
method is to take a flat blade screwdriver and start shorting pins
until it powers up. Then say AHA, that's the power switch! Same for
reset switch. Carefully, of course.
