Yes, the Irish were cheated out of the World Cup. Cheating happens all the time in most sports and particularly in football.
The Irish are asking that the match be replayed but it will never happen. It would set a precedent which would mean that every single game of football would have to be played again (and again and again.......).

Mr Platini would sure cut a forlorn figure against the backdrop of a winter World Cup in South Africa without his beloved Gauls ...lol lol
In the Uefa cup matches (extra officials were introduced) obviously they were deemed not worth it or else......they would have been present
We cannot and should not change a game via hindsight technology ...all we can do is introduce measures to combat fraudulent acts..and penalise individuals in the extreme..
so if nothing else and in the view of a post match admission then Thierry Henry should be Named and shamed..
Banned from the game for 12 months and fined 1million euros
Aka 2009 Uefa football extreme punishment
should wipe his snigger and send a message to other Cheats (yes..cheats)
I make no bones about this post..it`s about time punishment fitted the crime..
He should not be allowed to participate in the Finals...

Well folks, i'm from the sod and the wholecountry is feeling ripped off. I can't see a repaly either but i would hope that the video playback at matches comes in now. It's the only way to fix these issues as they happen.
I have said this before and i will say it again...When the final whistle is blown the match is over...end of. What happened, happened and all the crying in the world can't change things.
I'll be very surprised if there's a replay.
