Dear all

Does anyone else watch this programme on a Tuesday night? It is quite scary and quite addictive!!

The other night they were featuring Dalston Hall (Near Carlisle) and particularly rooms 4 and 8. Guess what - about 3/4 years ago I went to a friend's wedding at Dalston Hall and stayed in Room 4. Even though I can't say that I was aware of anything abnormal happening, it was quite scary to watch the strange goings on in the room after dark (TV switching on and off by itself etc...). I am also going to see medium Derek Acorah in York in November - he's on the programme too!!

I know this won't be everyones cup of tea but I think it's great!

I have seen this advertised i think and have watched it once at a m8s ... they were at a BIG castle thing with this keen dude lol ;)

Was quite amusing to see them "do something in their pants" haha

Would like to see it again ... but currently don't have Sky (Can't get it in my area) lol

Gabriella - perhaps you could start a thread asking if peeps have ever had any encounters with ghosts?

I swear I've had just the one, but that's it.
 
I think ghosts/gouls/spirits are just aload of you know what. All them videos you see on telly are just edited in my opinion.


And if someone else has supposedly seen one, they i reckon there just abit tired or drunk. My opinion.

My mums addicted to this program... she loves it!!

My girlfriends house is haunted, so she says, she lives in like a really old cottage and the resident ghosts are a victorian looking couple and a dog...

Freaky.
 
As Colin Fry says,

Ghosts are memory's - recordings of the past, things that were but aren't.

Spirits are live, they are now, they are happening.

I think if you see a ghost you are seeing a recording of something that happened, not something that is happening.

Watched Colin Fry last nite 'The Best of British Mediumship' with another guy whose name escapes me, they were both very good!!!

Meant to say I have tickets to see Derek Acorah at York in November....should be good!!

Anyway I have been debunking this tv show now for nearly a year.
Starting on

I think I am on your side of the argument on this.
Though i once had a 'ghostly' experience that scared the ****e out of me whilst sleeping on the couch in my 160 year old cottage, I have since arrived at many other, more probable causes of the event. I believe that what we refer to as ghosts or spirits have probably got some explanation based in science...one day perhaps we'll find the truth.

I'm particularly suspicious of so called 'mediums' who only seem to make contact with 'spirits' who have absolutely nothing of real value to say about where they now exist. They all seem to tell still living friends or relatives banal things about the name of their pets or make general warnings that could apply to anyone like 'keep away from busy roads'...They never make real predictions or say things that could withstand even slight challenge.

When I die, if I discover that I can make contact, I promise to post a message in this forum and tell everyone what it's like 'on the other side':eek:

Which is a shame, cos when it comes to 'mediums' I agree with you.

Darren brown was WICKED !!! :) So good !!!

The tricks he done and the final thing he did at the end was AMAZING !!! He explained how he does it at da end aswell !!!

He picked my m8's dad to do the main thing aswell !!! How cool !!! :D

He did tricks he weren't aloud to show on t,v aswell :!

I would'nt say it's a con

But derek does get alot of information wrong about the dates,names,etc!.

If it was a con living tv would be breaking the rules and so would all the staff on most haunted who belive in each other.

Do not know why they need a staff of over 10 people. They only need a cam guy,derek,someone to do the show.

untill i see a ghost or something i can't understand then maybe then i will belive.
