THE TV show that has spooked millions with its footage of hauntings and poltergeists is today exposed as a fake - by one its own stars.​

Resident parapsychologist Dr Ciaran O'Keeffe has sensationally lifted the lid on the ghosthunting series, Most Haunted ... and claims that the public are being deceived by "showmanship and dramatics."​

Hi Vanilla

Having tuned in to most of the weekend's live specials I also came across this article.

There has been controversy for some time about the authentiity of the programme and there was another poster on this site some time ago who gave very similar information to that allegedly given by Dr O'Keefe recently. Certainly the bits about people making up anagrams of 'Derek Acorah' and 'Derek lies'.

I'll see if I can find the link and post back.

We shall have to wait and see what happens as I believe that Yvette Fielding is due for some TV appearances this week.

As of yesterday, there was nothing on Dr O'Keefe's website.

Yeah i remember reading that a while ago, but i didn't wanna 'resurrect' an old thread.... (Pardon the pun) :)

I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested, i personally cant stand the show, and have always had my doubts about he whole thing.

So did they say anything about it over the weekend?
Isn't David Acorah leaving? Has he got any credibility left now?
 
No, nothing was said over the week-end at all (or at least from the bits that I saw). Derek Acorah has gone from the show now and has his own show (starting next wek). I hate to admit it but I am going to see him in York next month at one of his shows cos until fairly recently I thought he was ok but this publicity casts some doubt on him to say the least.
