What is this? I had a problem with the hard disk running
endlessly and tracked it to this application which was put
on when I installed outlook.

How do I permanently remove it?

I've simply done a file search from the Start Menu, then deleted the file and its contents to the recycling bin. I doubt that that is the best or only way to remove the program, but it appears to have worked, and the excessive hard drive activity has stopped. I'm keeping the program in my recycling bin though, just in case it turns out I need it, but it has been there for several months with no noticible problems resulting.
