Morwill search cant get rid of it!

I came home and found that I cant search the net, every time I try to do a
search and select a choice I get redirected to Morwill Search.com. I have
tried AdAware, spybot, and the microsoft spyware killer and nothing. anyone
know of something that can kill this for me? thanks
 
Hi Aaron

Its hard to answer this without seeing a Hijack This log from your system
but heres a few options that may solve this.

Please download, install, and update the free version of ewido security suite

http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background
guard" and "Install scan via context menu". Click on update in the left menu,
then click the Start update button. After the update finishes close Ewido

Download Ccleaner

Install Then close

Download CWShredder

http://cwshredder.net/bin/CWShredder.exe

Save it to the desktop


Reboot into safe mode (Reboot and keep tapping F8 then choose safe mode from
the list)

Once in safe mode run Ewido again.

From the main menu click on 'scanner' then click 'Complete System Scan'
When ewido finds something, it will pop up a notification. Select "Remove"
and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create
encrypted backup" then click on ok.When the scan finishes, click on "Save
Report" and save it to your desktop or c:/drive incase you need it again.

Run CWShredder and click "Fix" to scan your system for CoolWebSearch infection

Run Ccleaner and press "Run Cleaner"

Next goto start menu and then Control Panel and choose Internet Options.
Goto the Programs tab and press "Reset Web Settings" and include the hompage
and click "Yes" then go back to the General Tab and enter the Homepage you
want to use into the space provided and press Apply

Reboot back to normal mode,

Let us know if you have more problems

Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Aaron,
I too have been infected with this Morwill search. I followed each step you
outlined but I cannot rid myself of it. It seems to stem from the Virtumonde
malware. MS spyware will pick it up and say its removed, but when you run a
check again, it keeps reappearing.

I am unable to send the report to MS ANti spyware because when I attempt it,
I get the dreaded message that I have to change my internet proxy settings.

Any further suggestions?
