Microsoft have already experimented with things like that years ago. It

Not only that but utterly pointless. Why would I want to view a page at an
angle? lol

Versions of Windows get dumbed-down more and more each iteration, and you
say Linux users are kiddies?

whats aero do? certainly not let you view pages at an angle... which is what
you just implied.
go play with your open source kiddie toys

True, but it was nothing like that. Not only that but what you mention is a
classic example of MS being ahead of it's time. As you stated, it was too
disorienting....to people back then. Today, now that Apple has decided to
"copy" the idea, people are more savvy and more open to this change. Now
it's apparently the greatest thing...ever.

That video was MUCH more advanced then what MS experimented with. In fact,
it was pretty damn sweet. I liked it a lot. Aside from the windows at an
angle thing, I'm guessing the window would be equally as hard to read as it
was in that horrible compressed video.

And Aero is another pointless eye candy.

On this i agree. Not very useful, actually.

What they did with ALT+Tab was much, much better. Also, hovering over an
app on the Taskbar.

All that to make Aero work, and it's basically useless. I ahve alway used
ALT+Tab or the taskbar to switch apps.

I play with everything. I stiull have a macine running DOS, just because
it's so damned quick on a modern computer.

Infortunately, '95 won't work on any of my current hardware, or I'd run
that.

I have XP Pro on another machine. And two versions of Linux.

Hope you're not pretending to be an 'expert'.

Thankfully I cannot get Aero anyway so am on the aero basic. It does what I
need it to, no more and no less :-)
