I am designing a powerpoint presentation using XP and have two different
backgrounds which I have to use I have designed two different master slides
but I don't know how to switch between them when selecting which master I
want, and is there an easy way to select the backgrounds for the slides I
have already done, (when I paste the background onto the slide I have to
resize it every time and I've over eighty slides).

Hope someone can help

PowerPoint 2002, right? When you insert a new slide, select it in the
Outline pane and then go to Format > Slide Design. In the Slide Design task
pane locate your template and the Slide Master that you want to use for this
slide. Hover over the thumbnail and then click on the arrow that appears to
the right. From the drop down menu select "Apply to selected slide". You
can also do this from the Slide Sorter view where you can select a bunch of
slides - - hold down Ctrl while you slick on the slides you want.

If you use the above method you shouldn't need to insert the background on
the slide itself, since you have inserted it on the Slide Master.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]
[TOP ISSUE - Are you having difficulty opening presentations in PPT 2003
that you just created in PPT 2003? -

Hello,

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions for how to
make this easier to do in PowerPoint, don't forget to send your feedback
(in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
