More than 2 DNS servers on dial-up connection

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a VPN over a dial-up connection. I need to be
able to have 4 DNS servers. 2 being being public to allow internet
access and 2 rivate ones for the private network behind our
firewall/router. When I go to the TCP\IP settings in the dial up
connection i am only able to add 2 servers. After that the add button
is fadded out. Is there any way to add more dns servers. Or does
anyone know of a router/firewall that can send the other two dns
servers over the VPN.
 
Hi Simonrlee22,

Not sure why you need the 4 DNS servers? Once you make your VPN connection, it can
query your internal DNS servers just as an internal client machine will. If the request is for an
Internet name, then the internal DNS servers will forward that request out to the Internet just as it
does for the internal clients.

If this is Windows 2000/XP, then on the properties of the VPN connection, go to the properties
of TCP/IP, and then click the Advanced button. Then on the DNS tab, you can add as many
DNS servers as you wish.
