Is there any way to have more than one user connect to a workstation at the
same time? I have setup a PC that doctors will need to access from home. I've
setup Remote Desktop but they may need to access this PC at the same time to
view the databases. Is this possible?

Note with Remote Desktop. You might consider a VPN if they simply need
access to shared files/folders. I use OpenVPN to access shares on my small
home LAN.

Secure Shell (SSH) is another option and quite easy to setup.

Otherwise XP includes a built-in PPTP VPN server...

Correction...

The first sentence should read "Not with Remote Desktop"...

The licensing for Windows XP only allows for one remote connection to be
connected to the computer at one time. As does the software.

If you have two (or more) (well paid, Mercedes driving) doctors that are
going to be accessing the database, you might want to get them to cough
up enough to purchase the server product (~1000).

This would prevent any legal issues as well.

Not with Workstation version. You have to have one of the Server flavors
for multi-user RDP

I was going to start a new msg w/ this same topic. I found this site
that says you can. I had 1 of my IT guys at work do it and he said he
was able to get it to work as long as your not on a domain. I tried it
here but I guys i'm missing something, now that IT guy is no long at my
job for him to tell me what exactly he did.

That is a hack from the early days of testing XP SP2 and is not officially
supported. Use it at your own risk...
