PCNerd;
There seems to be a number of fixes. Depends on the exact problem.
Here are a few fixes.
---------------------------------------
Repair from David Candy

Start | Run | type: regsvr32 sendmail | OK
--------
Send To Repair from Kelly

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 sendmail.dll
Go to Start/Run and type in: regsrv32 ole32
Go to Start/Run and type in: regsrv32 /i shell32
------------

Create a Shortcut to OE Mailto:
Right click on the Desktop/New/Shortcut.
Paste this into the white box:
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /mailurl:mailto:
Go to Next, name it (ex) OE Shortcut, then hit finish.

Type in Start Run
rundll32 mydocs.dll,PerUserInit

This adds the My Docs target. (It also is run the first time a user logs on)

What is your mail setup.

Thank you, I tried these thing but it's still not right.
I wonder if it has to do something with the "send to" folder.
There is a 0 KB Mapimail file, called "Mail Recipient".
Is it supposed to be 0 KB? And what program opens it?
I tried msimn.exe but that is not right, either.

Thank you.

PCNerd;
Yes.
Mail Recipient 0 KB MAPIMAIL File

Don't worry about opening it.
-----------------------------
Repair from David Candy

Start | Run | type: regsvr32 sendmail | OK

Reboot.

No, it did not help. Thank you for the suggestion.
Something is messed up someplace.
I wish Windows XP would allow to repair IE like it did in Windows 98...

Thank you.

PCNerd;
I would say you're welcome, but it's not fixed yet.

I wish I had a million dollars. :o)

Did you register:
sendmail.dll
ole32
/i shell32
Like in Kelly's suggestion?

Yes, I tried Kelly's suggestion, made no difference.
This is what happens, when I try to "send to" "mail recipient"
First, I have the window about the sizing thing, then a window flashing,
called "Send mail" it says: Preparing to send:
C:\Documents and settings\My Name\Picture.gif
And that's it, nothing else.

Thank you for trying.

Hi Kelly;

shimgvw.dll = Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

I never would have thought of that.

That's why you make the big bucks. :o)

Hi Wes,

Ah, the big bucks <cough> ....

Not sure if this is even going to help. Reason being is that, the resize
option IS coming up, then halts. May apply, may not. Now if the resize
option weren't initializing at all, then it 'would' apply. However, not
knowing if the OP has recently disabled PAFV is another story.

In the meantime, any contributions here will "ensure" you a Kelly's Korner

PS - No pockets. Let your mom know. :o)

Kelly,

Actually I was thinking about setting the default email client. Would that work?

Yes, I tried. Nothing changed in the behavior.
Thank you for trying to help.
Perhaps something is missing from the registry.

It should, Ramesh. That is included in my edit on line 64, not even sure if
he had tried that one or not. :o(

Yes, it did help. Thank you so much.
However, now, when I start outlook express, it tells me it's not my default
mail program, and if I want to make it default.
I keep saying yes, but it does not register.
In Internet options, programs, it is in there and the News part is blank.
Thank you.
