More NetMeeting Confusion

I just tried clicking on the Directory icon in NetMeeting and it tells me
that Microsoft Internet Directory no longer exists (or words to that
effect). It then refers me to MSN Messenger, which I already have.

Is NetMeeting superseded by MSN Messenger? I see it has options for pretty
much everything found in NetMeeting, although with slightly different names
like "Application Sharing" instead of "Remote Desktop".

NetMeeting is old technology and not supported any longer by MS, at least
AFAIK... Its no longer available in Vista for example...
