More Issues Than One...

While attempting to add my hotmail account to Outlook, I
accidentally downloaded a program from the internet that
changed the appearance of my Internet Explorer toolbar. I
have to admit that it's a nice improvement but one or the
other has caused some issues...for one, whenever I click
on the inbox, sent items, draft, etc. buttons, the
homepage for popnav.com appears and I have to click
several more times on one of those buttons or close and
reopen Outlook to get the messages to appear. It's almost
as if it's turned it into the web because now there is a
reload button where my mail should be. Also, I use dial-
up so now when I sign on to aol and try to access another
web page i have to essentially connect to explorer because
if i click the stay offline button i get an error
message. And the pop-ups are far more significant. Does
nyone know what I did. Also, I have extreme difficulty
downloading my messages through Outlook and it often tells
me that it didn't receive a response from the server.
What is that about? Helllllllppp!!!!!!!!!!

Popnav is spyware/adware. If you do a Google search for Popnav, you'll find
lots of people are having the same problem, and there are lots of discussion
threads with removal instructions. However, you should probably download
Ad-Aware 6 and/or SpyBot (both have free versions) and run them on your
machine regularly to make sure you get rid of all the unwanted adware and
spyware that might be lurking on your machine.
