I have determined that if I include drive D in the list of either a
complete scan or a custom scan, the scan stops after drive D. If D is
not in the list, it scans all drives.

Drive D is not the primary partition on my slave drive. I used the
drive mapping ability of Windows XP to change D to the first logical
drive in the extended partition of the master drive. The primary
partition on the slave drive is L.

How can I inform Grisoft about this problem? I tried sending a
Technical Support email but I got an automated reply saying that they do
not provide email support for the free version. Thank you in advance
for all replies.

Well as you say, they do not provide e-mail support for the free
version.

My suggestion is, ask for help/suggestions in the group
<alt.comp.anti-virus>. If they cant help you with your problem there,
I guess at least Grisoft might have people monitoring that group.
Also: Try uninstalling AVG and try a different AV client instead, to
figure out if the problem is related to your disk/partitions at all -
or just AVG. May I suggest <www.free-av.com>.

PS. Windows drive mapping, as you call it, and your actual partition
layout on the disk, are two different things. Windows does not let you
change the partition layout, only the order of how the partitions are
accessed/"seen" by windows (drive letter allocation) and what
partitions Windows should access ("see") or not. If you need help with
Windows - I suggest you ask in a dedicated XP group.

All the best,
Bjorn Simonsen
