I am setting up another Windows 2003 Server. Am having problems with DNS
again.
The client is connected to the Internet via a t-1 fractional connection.
The ISP has configured the router for NAT, not DHCP. The gateway for the
LAN is a private IP address. The gateway to the Internet is a public IP
address. The Server is running DNS and DHCP and Adtive Directory. I am
using one of the on board NICS. The Server is pointing to itself for DNS.
The Server can access the Internet. The workstations are pointing to the
local DNS. When the workstations are configured to log on to the Domain
Controller, they can access the local gateway on the router, but nothing
outside. I do not know what is happening, but it is very frustrating. I
did get errors in the DNS event viewers, this morning. It was a 404 and
4015 error. I checked this out on the Internet and copied the cache.dns .
Nothing has helped. I am at a loss, please help!!
Thank you for your help in advance!!
