thx

Bryan,

Thanks for the update. I am very curious about this "service"
parasite? and will be watching.

You might want to use another bulletin board too - I am looking at SWI
Forums and it looks like they're still migrating to their new server -
and I can't find your post except by direct link - it's not anywhere
in an index AFAICT. Try posting your HJT log etc in WildersSecurity:
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/index.php

Did you ever look at the details about
"C:\WINDOWS\System32\ieplore32.exe"? Properties - Version should have
interesting information I would bet. I just did a Google and Yahoo
search for "ieplore32.exe" and came up empty. You may have been
infected by something undiscovered, so diagnostics may be useful.

Get Process Explorer (free) from <http://www.sysinternals.com/>, to
provide more detail than Task Manager. Get Startup Monitor and
Startup Control Panel (free) from <http://www.mlin.net/> to provide
control over what programs are started automatically when you startup.

Cheers,
Chuck
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.

Mind if I stick my unwanted nose in here? Instead of trading information
about bulletin boards that explain your latest computer infection, why not
take the pro-active approach: Use antivirus software, become a regular
visitor to Windows Update, install a software firewall, regularly scan your
system for spyware/adware and adopt safe computing practices. Do all that
and you've got a 99.9% chance of never having your computer getting infected
in the first place.

Oh...you did mind that I stuck my unwanted nose in. Sorry about that.

Rocky
